I developed a passion for storytelling in high school and I never looked back.

My name is Mat. I edit stuff. I color stuff. I write stuff.

My whole live I’ve dedicated to helping others tell their stories as best as possible. I’ve worked on top rated TV shows, award winning documentaries, and national commercials seen by millions.

I graduated from the College of Santa Fe with a degree in Moving Image Arts in 2004. Shortly after, I began my career in 2005 as an assistant editor on “At the Edge of the World”, a documentary that premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.

Over time, I developed my talents working for some of the biggest clients in New York City including IBM, the Oprah Winfrey Network, MTV, Ogilvy, The Discovery Channel, Cooking Channel, History Channel, and many, many more.

More recently, I edited a nature documentary called “The Biggest Little Fish You’ve Never Seen” that premiered at the Manhattan Film Festival.

As of late, I’ve also developed a passion for color correction. The art of making an image as perfect as possible was always something I’ve been interested in, and color seemed like a natural progression. After months of training on DaVinci Resolve, I jumped straight in, and the last few months I color corrected 3 documentaries. You can see my work on my color reel…I’m exceptionally proud of those.

I work on all of the major edit platforms…DaVinci Resolve, Avid, Final Cut, and Adobe Premiere.

I live in Brooklyn, New York with my wife and the best dog in the world.

I love to talk about every aspect of the filmmaking process. If you have any questions or inquiries, please do not hesitate to reach out.
